The hub assembly is easy to replace. Take off the brake caliper and rotor. Remove the dust cap and then remove I believe the 32mm bolt and the hub comes right off.

the new rear hub should come with a new bearing on it so replacement is pretty much bolt on.

One important note worth noting. Tighten to proper torque spec, or you'll be replacing them again prematurely.

Be preparred to shell out some $$ and it may not be on the shelf since it is an "ITR only" part. I paid $134 for one and had to wait 2 weeks for it.

Or, you could buy the whole rear trailing arm for a few more $$ with everything assembled.

I would trust what steve has to say.

With anything to do w/ hubs/bearings the BFH and BFD (Big farking drift) are your friends.

I've actually replaced them...very easy, bearing usually slides off the spindle with the hub:

Had that problem with my 93 GS-R. Because the inner race is 2 pieces, overtightening will cause them to wear prematurely.

I have had to replace my rear wheel studs (needed longer studs for spacers) so I had to take the rear hub off. Once the car is jacked up and the wheels are off, it takes about 1/2 hour to take the hub apart. It is very simple. The cap on the hub is somewhat annoying, but not too hard to get off if you have a nice flat head screw driver.
