I'm not used to having decent torque/power under my foot, so I'm still getting used to this LS/VTEC setup I have, with a ACT 6 puck kit and b16 cable tranny... grabbing out of first at night time is rediculous. So if I have to let off the gas, it seems like I can't stay within my power band. Also I have polyuerethane motor mount inserts and a short shifter. By that time... the car next to me gains the lead.... boooooooo!

I can't imagine upgrading these GSR cams either and trying to lock up out of second

Any suggestions from you pros?

 

Might be a dumb question, but have you tried running on slicks or drag radials?? They should eliminate some of your wheel spin.

 

What kind of tire you using and how much power you pushing out?

 

What is your set-up? What size rims/ kind of tires. Maybe it's time to look towards suspension camber kit, adj. shocks, and some nice coilovers/springs.

 

go get some Falkens or BFG Drag radials

 

One of these is prolly the answer now that i think about it... i have matrix coilovers, and busted oem front shocks, but i do have sprint camber kit. I am running Kumho ecsta 711 205/50/15 on 11lb rota slipstreams. The front left tire is worn pretty even and prety worn for only haveing 1300 miles on them. But since I don't have LSD, that's the only tires burning.

busted shocks and wore tires???

 

The tires aren't worn, they only have 1300 miles on them.... guess the shocks will do that... I thought my car had power, hahaha
