Default compasitor/battery???

can you use a battery as a compasitor???? I have seen pics of people with batterys hooked up to there system and was just wondering if they were using them for compasitors.

No a battery can not be used as a capacitor. If they have not upgraded their alternator they are causeing more harm than good.

From what I've seen, people with the extra batteries have them for competition. When your car is running it creates noise, albeit very little on today's cars, but enough to have a negative effect on supersensitive equipment judging sound quality in competition. Extra batteries means they can power their massive sound systems for longer than a few seconds with the ignition off and impress the judges.

What are you trying to accomplish. More batteries is probably the wrong answer unless you are building an spl vehicle. Then as said earlier, get an upgrade alternator to go with them.
