Default electrical help please!!!!!!!!!!

My tach (that I orderd over a month ago from speedpeople.com just arrived today) so I installed it. But my car has some electrical probiblems, Im not sure exactly what it is but it started when I installed my subs. At first when I hooked up my subs they wernt getin enoughf power, so I installed a new ground cable to my battery and they worked, but they made my altinator squeel. I have been driving like that for about a month, and I think it is finally takin its toll. It has been getin a little harder to start my car it usuly takes 2 or 3 trys, and my lights dim when i start it. and today when I installed my tach its not getin enoughf power to it, It will go up to where ever I set my shift light to go on and the needle will just bounce there a little bit because it dosent have enoughf power to turn the light on.( I know its not that tach that is bad because It worked fine untell I had it in there for about 20 min.)
So if anyone knows what might be wrong, or have an Idea what it might be please help me out. thanks
