Need help! trying to ID si tranny.....
this guy is selling a tranny and he said it was an si. the numbers i got off it are:
L3-1629594 and PL3-A000
anybody know if its an SI or not? just want to make sure before i buy it. please help

i found a site somewhere that the way to distinguish them was that PL3-A000 was DX and PL3-B000 was SI. make sure to get a second opinion on that though before you buy or dont buy it.

if after the PL3 theres a numbers.... its an Si
if it has AXXX its a DX, STD, or HF
u can also look at where the axles go in.... u can see the tickness of the differential itself and see if its an Si....
notice the diff in size on the bearings, on the actual diff casing where the axle goes in.... how tick they are
