Default oil in coolant: need help!

an oil in the radiator means that something is wrong with the head gasket, right? If not, what are the possible causes?

What are the possible problems would arise if I continue to drive it in this situation for 3 weeks? I'm gonna get my P/P head in 3 weeks so I don't wanna open her up right now. Any temporary solutions>?

WRONG! if your head gasket is blown the car will not run since it cant hold in the compression when the piston comes up during compression stroke. jobau, you sure it was oil and not deposits called scalling? i have no idea how oil could have gotten in your cooling system, but im pretty sure its not your head gasket.

it is possible for the car to run with a blown head gasket. are you blowing white smoke out your exhaust? check to see if there is radiator fluid in your oil..those are simple signs.

am not blowing white smoke out the tail. just changed the oil the day i noticed the oil in coolant and didn't notice any coolant in the oil (gotta check the oil again). the car still pulls pretty good. (gotta do a compression test though).

took out the oil in the radiatior and cleaned the reservoir and after a day of driving no oil has been spotted in the coolant. the car was parked for 3 weeks for body work but i don't know if that has something to do with it.

well..if there are no other signs..id just call it a hoax. normally if your head gasket is blown..you car may over heat..blow white smoke..find coolant in the oil..oil on spark plugs..check to see if you have any other unusual signs and let me know.

Don't drive it until you fix it. If antifreeze gets in the oil its over. Most likely headgasket.

after driving it fairly hard for 2 days no oil is spotted on the radiator nor on the reservoir, no white smoke, compression is still good. must be just a residue from a dirty reservoir. am gonna stop being so paranoid now. thanks for all the help and info.
