I have a zc swap in my CRX Si. Now first of all I need a new tranny what tranny can I swap in with a longer ratio. I cant even go 100mph running the crx si tranny. Then Second I was wondering where I could find a T25 Turbo Manifold for my ZC??

 

get a zc or a dx tranny, dh-racing makes a turbo manifold for the zc, but you can use any d-series turbo manifold, or even a hf-std exhaust manifold and run it with the turbo, just have to get the ports matched up to the zc. no one makes one for the t25 you have to get an adapter plate from dropshop.tv, or someone on homemadeturbo.com

how can you not it 100? I hit 110 the other day in 4th, and it was even redlined yet- I have the Si tranny as well. and for the manifold just get the hf manifold.

Maybe he has really small diameter tires? That does seem odd though, are you sure your in 5th?

 

Yeah Im definetly in 5th haha. When I shift from 4th to 5th the rpm's only drop like 400rpm. 4th and 5th gear are almost the same.

That's CRAZY. what size wheels/tires are you running? I currently have 17's soon to be 15's. I just didn't think that it'd make that big a difference. I have a friend w/ a stock crx si & he hit 115ish in 4th a couple of days ago on stock wheels

 

The rims size doesnt neccesarily matter, its the overall diameter of the tire...for comparison my 90 dx has 22inch dia tires...my ex has 23.2inch....even with the 4.0FD of my ex vs the 3.888FD of the dx, my ex shift points are way higher. i.e. I shift at 33.68mph 1st gear redline in my dx and like 38.24mph in the ex. tire diameter is a poor mans short geared tranny

 

I dunno I have 15's on it right now, but I know that my car would go 125 but that was with the stock motor in it as of now I have the ZC and It drives down the highway at High RPM's cruising at 70 its a 3700 ropm's
