gsr cams in a b16 make a big diffrence yes or no????
a friend of mine is going to put gsr cams in a b16 with 450 injectors from a talon & the fuel pressure set at 20psi will it make that big a diffrence about how much hp would he gain if any ?????
What about type R cams. I have a set that I picked up for free, are you saying that if I put them in my b16 I will have loss of power?

actually, there's a slight increase in torque if you use GSR cams in a B16A engine and keep the vtec crossover at about 4800-5000rpm. GSR cams are worthy of using over 1st b16 cams though...no doubt.
edit:
I duno about using TALON injectors and lowering your fuel pressure to 20psi ..

Good stuff Katman, thanks for sharing.

gsr cams and type R cams are totally different , type r cams will give you quite a bit of power , youll need the valvetrain to go with it though to get the full potential out of the cams
it wouldn't be worth it.. might as well save up for some ctr's at least. i've had gsr's in my set up before but didn't feel any change in hp.
don't really know how a stock b16 feels, cause when i swapped my motor, i installed itr cams and itr intake manifold to it, with gsr tb. It pulls hard, but i wished it had more power...i'm going to upgrade more of the internals...retainers, springs, valves, and maybe add p30 pistons(if low on $) or ctr pistons(if high on $). if the all-motor doesn't satisfy me...i'm gona go NOS!! I just want to beat my friends w/ gsr motors....in all-motor catagory. One of them thinks he's too fast and too good...just want to show him what a b16 can also do.
I was reading on crowers website that gsr cams had about 10 degrees more duration with about the same lift, while type-r cams had 13 degrees more duration with a lot more lift. I don't know if this info is true or not, but if it is gs-r cams would give a little more power on the top end.
