anybody have a strutbar (front upper) in their B16'd CRX?

im using a Redshift(HASport knockoff) mount kit and my old strut bar no longer clears the intake mani.

no way am i leaving it off, so somebody tell me what fits!!

Hmmm, so Redshift's won't fit, huh? I've heard that RActive strut bars will work, though I've yet to verify this... Just go to a shop, ask 'em to test-fit some bars. I'm sure they'll understand.

 

ok so does that mean when i get my SiR swap into my car that my neuspeed one won't fit?

 

It might not. The intake manifold on the B16A sits higher and further back in the engine bay than the manifold on the D-series', which is what causes the problems. I believe the RActive one curves back towards the firewall instead of crossing the bay directly, which is why it's reputed to work.

 

the neuspeed front bar will work on b16s. i have this setup with my place mounts and it fits perfectly. dont really know about hasports though,but, im pretty sure it will.

 

The Tenzo R strut bar fits too.

 

I've got the Ractive strut brace in my hatch and it works fine

 

now would a b18c have a different problem than a b16a or it doesnt matter that its slightly taller?
