Will my axles hold up running a 22x8x15 slick on my CRX??
I have a 88 CRX HF with an LS engine swap, stock internals, and I/H/E. Estimated 150 HP. I am now looking at a set of 22x8x15 slicks. I have stock axles, and I'm wondering if they will be okay running this size slick?
Here's a pic of the wheel/slick combo:
Thanks in advance for the replies.

when using slicks weight is ur #1 enemy. ill give examples
2 yrs ago i was runnin a 99 hatch on DRs weighing in at 2540 broke 3 axles and a LSD launching at 6k.
last yr ran slicks on my hatch weighing in at 1980 broke 1 axle launching at 6k
this yr, same hatch weighing 1700lbs same slicks launching at 8500+ no broken axles.

with less weight there is less to get moveing so you dont have to build the axles trans and others in that nature for it becouse when there is less weight there is less strees on the axles and trans part
hopefully that made sence and it is coresponding with the post above

Well, my CRX is completely stripped of all the interior in the rear (behind the seats). I plan on removing the stock seats, and installing a lightweight racing seat. So I don't guess weight will be a problem.
About these wheels/slicks, they are listed as 22x8x14. But I didn't think M/T made a 22" slick to fit on a 14" wheel. I think they may be 20" tall. I'm still trying to get in touch with the seller.

I use stock axles or some janky O'Reilly/Pepboy axles in my car using 22x8x13. With my extra sidewall I am probably putting more stress on my axles than the 15"ers will. See my times below.
