i'd say the next step is a cam. You can do plug wires, etc. but that won't really net you that much improvement unless your modified pretty heavy. Are you looking for just a little more power for everyday driving, or do you want to go all out?

IMO, i dont think a stroker kit is worth if for a SOHC engine. For a little more money, and less (most of the time) work, you can just do a swap.
I would consider going turbo though. SOHC kits can be had for around $1500. A turbo will offer the most power for the buck, period. all depends on what you have to spend...

Yeah, i actually just chopped another 3/4" off of mine a few days ago. I like the way it looks with the shifter dropped down. Now all i need is a new shift **** to replace my worn out stock one

I don't know if turbo's the best sol'n for a SOHC engine. It's just not built to rev, and it's not that heavy-breathing the way a B-series is. Therefore I'd expect that turbo lag would be a bit more of an issue with a D-series... turbos really shine with a high redline.

Even with a turbo, you're going to be hitting low 15's, for about the same price as a swap...

Rioninja: you cut your shifter too? hehe, i always wanted that feel but couldnt find a short shifter that did that so i took matters in my own hands, i also didnt like the way the shifters screw on with allen screws, it just doesnt fit tightly around a circle mines always ended up coming loose after hard shifts. So what i did was cut that sucka down and grinded it to a square and now my allen screws have something to really grip on to, hey you should get the spoon shift **** thats what im gettin, it attaches with allen screws too.

Trinity: Turbo for sohc engine is just not worth it, for all the headaches you will go through and all the mods you will do to get it running problem free you might as well just have gotten a b16a and gotten the same power, the d16a cant take too much boost either, i would go zc and turbo that, you can get an old hf manifold from a crx the kind thats 2 pieces and just create a custom adapter plate and youll be able to use a talon turbo. check out here.

The most bang for the buck get a NOS dry manifold kit and run a 40 hp squeeze, cheap and easy
