you can make your own according to what the rulebook says. it has to be steel, x amount of thickness and width etc.. we made one for our escort and it passed tech at nhra.

i thin kthe real question is can you make a scatter sheild that can save your foot? If it works there is no reason you couldnt make it
On the other hand i relaly like the GE shields i just got one for my car and a cpl customers cars, nice pieces!! Well worth the money, and i could easily make it with my sheet metal brake. It saves a ton of time to get the GE one.
