Its not a KILLER deal, but if its clean, its a very good investment. TypeRs have great resale value.

if it has been maintained properly, it's a 200K mile car
(come on, were talking about a HONDA here )

Aside from a few minor rattles and a penchant for oil consumption, the type R is probably one of the most reliable performance car in any price range. Plus it's easy to work on, and you can get most parts from your local dealer...

I have 60,000 miles on my car, and aside from a failed starter which was replaced under warranty, I've had almost zero problems with the car.

After 60K miles of hard driving, I've only had to replace:
front wheel bearings
brakes and front rotors
tires

Can't go wrong with an ITR
(waay more reliable than some bOOsted car's I know )

Exactly. I hope you have a garage for it. The theft factor is the only drawback in owning an R.

i think it's a little high for that mileage u coudl get cheaper from a private seller. But for a dealer price thas pretty damn good a dealer here was selling a black ITR with liek 40000miles on it for like 25000 and it was all messed up and I think some sucker bought it to

LoL.. Well I prefer buy Type R at dealership because I want the warranty.. Sometime the private seller already finish use the warranty.. That why and also I found the yellow Type R with 46,xxx miles on it.. IT cost $23,999 and someone bought it.. Damn too expensive.. Thanks for reply guys..

In regards to the warranty.. i'm pretty sure the way it works with acura is that the initial warranty applies even if u buy off a private seller like I did. The dealer 50000mile warranty still applies. If there is an extended warranty on the car u have to pay 80$ to transfer the warranty, the extended warranty can only be transferred once.

They did not make a FBP for the 01 year. It was changed to NHBP. It all depends on the car and the condition it is in. If it looks like it did the day it got off the boat from japan, then I would jump on it, but if it looks like it went through trench warfare, then I would pass.....it all depends.
