sorry to keep bothering you guys but i just had to inform you of what happened to me today while on the way to my house with a friend in my car... i was driving with a friend in my car and next to my other friend, well a van pulled out in front of me and i was goin about 45 mph and it was rainin like hell,i braked, and well my lude doesnt have abs so my wheels locked up and i slid into the grass to the side of the road for like 60 plus ft. just after i slammed into the curb, and popped my new tire on the passenger front lost my skidplate on the curb, the i found a piece of cast iron kinda layin in the grass looked like a motor mount, well i changed the flat and i started up the car and its shaky as hell, i dont think anything is leaking fluid, what you guys think, the cast iron piece had like a threaded screw broke off in it... motor mount? how much you think to get it replaced? tia

 

Best thing to do is get in on a lift or put in up on jackstands and have a look see. Without a picture, your cast iron as you describe could be numerous things.

well my parents we bitchin at me sayin i cant get under it yet they wanna let it sit for a lil bit, so tomm. i have to go to tires plus to get yet another new tire and ill see how it is and get under it with a couple of my friends and check it out and post some pics

its an "S" model which is the base model, not a "type S" which is the higher end model in Japan

 

well i got an estimate for the damage.... very sad i can name hundreds of other things to do with $1400... again i need 2 stock rims, new downpipe, new oil pan and 2 seals for it ,a new support beam that runs down the middle of the car, and a new skidplate,

 

ur lude keeps breaking because you hate it.

lol.. i think that's true also, sell it and buy something you want if you hate it so much

 

yeah, hating it is juste bad karma. be optimistic about it no matter what, and drive safely! i know what life is like w/o ABS. the leafs of my abs sensors have been corroded and what not from under use (i guess the previous owner didnt drive it hard)..so my bitches lock like woah under tough conditions.

good thing you didnt hit the van though
