How to change taillights inITR ?
Do i just remove the rear bar thats attached to the back wall of the trunk? Do i have to tighten it to a certain ft./lb.? I need to replace some burnt bulbs back there
thanks
thanks
It is not necessary to remove that bar if you're only changing light bulbs. There should be two flaps that you can rip out which will give you access to the bulbs.

im not installing any altezzas, some bulbs are out others are dim, i need to remove the entire back panel to get to all the lights, but there is that tie bar there.
i just wanted to know if it was safe to remove it and put it back on, and how many ft./lb.'s i needed to torque it
thats all

It's safe to remove it (it's their to add rigidity to the car when cornering) then all you have to do is push down the centers of the plastic rivits which will allow you to remove them and then the panel. One word of warning though - don't push the rivit centers too far as they can pop out all together and are an absolute bitch to find again.

Neither the "entire back panel" nor the rear tie bar need to be removed to access the tail light bulbs or to remove the actual tail lights.

That all depends on which globes you are replacing - the ones closest to the center of the car are close to impossible to change without removing the rear panel. Besides which, why would Honda/Acura use quick release rivits if you didn't need to remove that panel?

The only quick-fasteners that need to be removed are the four along the top. The rear panel can then be folded back slightly to access either the bulbs or the nuts that hold the tail lights in. The rear tie bar and the quick-fasteners securing the bottom of the panel don't interfere with this process, and can be left intact.
