Default stock B16T at the track running in the Quick 8

Well, I didn't win it, but I was the 6th one to go out of the eight there. I ran against a 5.0 with a blower and scoop sticking out of the hood to get knocked out of round 2. It was nice to go that far at least. To the good part now. I ran my best time ever tonight in the first round of the Quick 8 against a pretty quick T/A. Here is the run down of the times since my scanner recently passed away:
I'm S2........

S01 S2
R/T 1.112 .967
60' 2.148 2.177
330 5.842 5.842
1/8 8.829 8.707
mph 82.94 86.73
1/4 13.597 13.244
mph 102.62 108.87

Right 1st .4981

I run as is........ meaning I roll off the highway, take my spare out, let some air out of my tires, and go run. This was done at 10psi on race gas and street tires (as in actual hard rubber Falken Ziex 512s ).

Almost the exact same times I was running with my B16 turbo and same MPH. Just slap some slicks on there and dip into those 12's. Good numbers

I'm too cheap. I will just borrow some. lol My friend did ask me a good question though. He notices that my 1/4 times and traps are great but my 1/8 and traps don't look so hot. I told him (N/A ITR guy) that it was because I don't have much are under my torque curve, and that I have to deal with lag from a large turbo. Is this a good explanation?

I think Lack of Traction is a Good Explanation!

I figured consistant 2.2 60 foots and the occasional 2.1 is pretty good traction especially for street tires (as in HARD rubber compound). I pulled another 2.1 60 foot today to yield a 13.25@108.00mph and a 2.2 60ft. to yield a 13.4@????. I don't spin at the line or between gears.

Damn good times, now I'm starting to get scared of when my friend installs his turbo on his 99 SI.

It took me a lot of practice and a good set of wheels and tires to run these times. I don't know if I am running normal times for a B16T or not.

That is a very good explination, my car had a large turbo and took forever to spool. so with the lack of TQ and the large turbo the car wouldn't be very efficiant till high rpm's or higher gears. ALso what tranny are you running?
