Default those with you balance shafts ELIMINATED

ok, so, i was thinking of having a spacer machine out to take the place of the balance shaft pullet belt on the crankshaft, that way it eliminate ever MORE rotational mass

any ideas on it?

I machined the balance shaft crank pulley down to where it keeps the timing belt in place.

A lathe. Had it done at the machine shop. Works nice. Not totally needed, but it is a little bit less rotational mass.

Just don't machine it to a too small diameter. remeber this also keeps the timing belt from sliding around.

That is a good place to machine it down to... We should name it (that spot) LOL.

why not just machine a spacer out of magnesium, or aluminum. It'll be lighter, and work the same as a shrunken balance shaft puley - with a better structural integrity.

There really isn't much of a point in doing this mod tho (I know why you did it Scott ) the force needed to spin that pulley is so minimal its ridiculus. The mass is so close to the axis of rotation there really isn't a need to.

Sam, you can turn it on a lathe..

If you can gimme some dimensions, I can make it at my school for free.
