Default H22A1 Timming Belt wont stay on :honda2:

I have a fresh built h22 skunk cam gears oem timing belt and i am in the brake in period on my engine so i went to adjust my valves and found my timing belt was half as thick as it was due to it rubbing on the valve cover. Any one have any ideas?

It's more like 40-60 depending on where you go. (auto tensioner for h22)

The tensioner bearing pivots on a special bolt that screws into the water pump. That bolt is probably bent slightly.

Also check to make sure that the spacer between the crank and the timing gear. If that spacer is not in there it will cause the belt to rub on the balancer gear.
