powershifting with act xtss and prolite flywheel
hey guys, i just got 1000 miles on my new setup (act xtss and act prolite flywheel)
its very hard to shift as fast as i could with the oem, so im wondering if its safe to powershift!!!
the only thing i can see wrong with it is that if i go in the wrong gear , but i do have a revlimiter in case i dont go in a gear, also can my tranny take this?
its a 95 gsr with 8 psi TUNED. can the clutch and flywheel take this abuse? im sure its meant to. THANKS

the clutch can take the abuse. its just personal perfrence. i full throttle most of the time and my tranny is fine. its up to the driver

well first your flywheel can come off i dont know how the hell that happened but it happened to my boy with another h22a and differential can clamp so hard pop do diffy what eg said and all your gears can get shreded. ANd your damn tyranny can fall out we got a customer here who went cryin like he was rapped cause he needed a rethread on the block and a new tranny period and aint no comin up out that.

are you 100% sure your clutch is fully engaging?</TD></TR></TABLE>
Did you make any clutch pedal adjustments after the install?
I installed the same clutch on my B18B/GSR trannied EX. The pedal pressure and engagment height sucked.
I made a few adjustments to the "pedal", it feels and shifts much smoother now...

do you really accelerate that much faster powershifting? the spacing on the gears still asks the car to wait to accelerate even after engagement. I would suggest you cut that crap out unless you have a tranny graveyard from which to pull spare parts. this is how hondas develop gears that grind on engagement. shifting too fast for the clutch to create enough pressure to allow the synchros to spin down and engage the gear. full throttle shifting is fun though, I guess you have the hondata setup? remember, if you miss a gear into another lower gear at 8K that rev limiter dont mean a thing.
