OMFG

This guy is a Hondamod2.com mod?

15.18? LMFAO

Maybe if you threw out your body-kit and stopped spending your money on purple paint, you would have some cash for some real performance parts, did that idea ever go through your mind?

My bad.

Your enemy is weight. Take off both of your bumper supports. Take out your back seats, i'm sure you took out the spare. Try stripping the tar out of your trunk and from under the carpet.

Change your oil right before you go to the track.

Other than that, all I can think of is maybe taking out your R headlight and making a tube go to your filter.

My buddy did all that stuff and ran constant 12.3's in a 92 hatch. GSR motor with only headwork. Clipped doors, etc. 15.1 just isn't right. Come on, I have a 1.6L Civic coupe and I ran 15.2 with an intake and a bad clutch. (a year ago)

Dont forget that you are in california and ALOT closer to sea level. A freid of mine ran 15.1 in cali and when she came here couldnt break better than a 16.2 the altitude here sucks... and unfortuneately they dont prep the track for sport compact night here.... Still not much respect for hte import scene here... they prep it for street legal but not for SC night... sucks..

A guy that i was running agaisnt has a car almost identical to mine but his is 96+ he ran 14.8's consistantly 2 weeks ago. BUt couldnt run better than 15.2 last night. Maybe it was just the track.

BUt iw as putting two cars on him all night.

Ahh my bad. I forgot the whole altitude dilema. I am at sea level.

Sounds like your track may have some say in this.

But in any case, what kind of tires are you running? Are you taking out your interior at the track?? You should be roasting a guy in a 6th gen Civic with the same GSR swap.

Elevation is a killer...Our track is at 4800 ft.

Anyways your corrected time for sea level is 14.63

I think you might be a little heavy but it sounds more like a driving problem. Dont get me wrong I suck at Drag racing (but getting better) and do way better on the occasional street race. (Will take the race to a secluded and rarely used highway)

What rpm are you shifting at? Are you hitting the rev limiter at all?

Your 60 is fine imo. Also something you mentioned was your first run was your best out of 17 runs. Well generally the first run is good for shaking off cobwebs and getting used to the track.

The reason your first run was your best I believe was your tires were cool and so was your engine...and then you probably came off the recovery road and back to the staging area to go again.

So now your tire pressure is up, clutch just got a work-out and the engine hasn't cooled down any. So your driving may have improved through the day but your car never rested or didn't rest enough.

I personally wouldn't worry about ripping out your interior and stuff unless you liked a stripped car that is really loud to shave off a tenth.

*edit: Skipped the part about them not prepping the track properly...however I think that would more effect your 60 ft times which I thought weren't half bad.

I think i may actually try to run without my hood. I think thats legal. if not ill try the passenger head light trick.

Tire pressure is relevant to the sidewall thickness. At 32psi. make a small patch with your tire (small burnout) on cement, there should be a contact patch thats as almost wide as your tire.

Next lower your tire pressure and do the same thing...until you get the widest patch...this generally should be were you want your tire pressure. If the patch gets lighter in the middle you are cupping the tires and are only getting the sides to contact...thats not good

Remember with each run your tire pressure goes up 4-5 lbs in some cases so keep an eye on them.

I dont know about taking off the hood...try it let us know if it helped. You can prop your hood up between runs and push your car when and if your in line.
