questions about d16's, please please help
ok heres the deal, ive got a daily driven 2000 civic ex, in other words a d16y8 with the apexi turbo kit
i have a spare 97 civic dx, d16y7 block
i plan on building the y7 motor with eagle rods and wiseco pistons, once this is done hopefully within a weekend i can pull the y8 out , and throw all the parts off of the y8 block to the y7
now here the question, this obviously would be a mini me swap, is this a basic take the y7 head and put it on the y7 block
the next question is regarding the internals of the 2 motors, is the crank exactly the same as well as deck height
i went to order the wisco today and found out the y7 and y8 motors use 2 different pistons, im not sure if i need the y7 or y8 pistons
so basically what problems should i be aware off when putting all the y8 parts on my semi built y7 block and what pistons, y7 or y8 do i need
thanks in advance,
chris
