i am getting ready to buy a 94 b18b. it doesnt come with the harmonic balancer. i read the posts on here and still don't quite understand what it is. can someone explain what it is and how much these are, and if anyone knows where i could find one?

they are the rubber inserts in the crank pulley, not needed so much on the honda engines since everything is pretty much balance from the factory, it won't drastically shorten the engine life, if at all, but if it doesn't have one you may wanna see if it even has a crank pulley and if it does what kind

 

anyone know where i could get the balancer and crank pulley? cost?

 

Aftermarket: Usually around $120 or so...check out Summit Racing's catalog for an idea.

OEM (stock) : Try calling some local performance shops, they may have some left over from poeple buying the previosly mentioned ones. Or junkyards that specialize in Honda/Acuras's.
