Need thoughts and opinions on this bikes.
Wondering if anybody has any experience, thoughts, opinions, reviews on these following bikes.
99-01 Suzuki GSXR 600/750
99-01 Suzuki TL1000R
00-01 Yamaha YZF R6
99-01 Kawasaki ZX7R
Wondering about any kinda issues with these years, handling, power, recalls. And anything else that should be noted about the following years of these bikes. Any info will be appreciated.

Most newer bikes, say 97-up are "good" bikes reliability wise.
The Gixxers handle great, and make good power. Although they're a little more extreme as far as riding goes. The riding position is really agressive and you have to spin the **** out of them to make the power. The GSXR750 is about on par with an R1.
TLRs are cool bikes. A little heavy and not all *that* fast, but lots of fun none-the-less. LOTS of torque... and ooooh the sound makes it worth it. Yoshi pipes and a power commander and you'll be stuck on twins forever, lol. At low speeds the bike seems to be jumpy, and the throttle is either on or it's off, but that could be due to the thumpy nature of the big twin.
R6 - What else can I say about the R6. Great bike. A little more extreme than the 600R, but livable. Ya gotta spin the **** out of it, but 15,500rpm redline can be fun. Yamaha makes outstanding motorcycles.
ZX7R - This bike hasn't had any real changes chassis wise since 1996. That's good, and bad. Good in that it's proven. Bad in that it's slower, heavier, and doesn't handle as well as any of the newer 600s. Still a great bike, but you can get *more* bike for the money in a GSXR or R6.

Any type of maintnece issues, recalls. How do you deal with the extra weight? Is it really noticable once up and moving as it is at just a stand still? Any type of electrical problems or anything in that nature? Hows the power once the exahust and fuel mapping are changed? Not trying to compare to the Gixxer 750, just trying to see how it is as a over all bike.
Thanks for that info Matt... I love the TL's. but I just dont like the weight of the bike. And the ZX7R. Thats the only real issues I have on the two bikes.
Wondering how it is trying to Manuver those two bikes around with all that weight compared to the other bikes in the topic, as far as a daily drive aspect?
Also, if others reply. Im not really looking for any kinda info about which bike is the best for speed, or stunting. I just want any info on the bikes that would make me enjoy them all around and have fun on.
TIA

To be honest, unless you're going to track race it, or do some SERIOUS canyon strafing, the weight isn't going to bother you. Well, if you're 5'3" and 120lbs it might, lol.
However, the TL is a good 75lbs more than an R6 and atleast 50 more than the GSXR750.
I wanted a little more speed so I got something else, but out of the bikes you listed, I'd rather have the TL. They're just cool bikes. I rode my friend's with Yoshis and damn it was fun. Way different than a 4cyl. The weight didn't bother me any. The closest track is 2 hours away, so I'd rather have something more fun on the street. If I wanted a track bike it'd be the R6 or GSXRs.

Ok, that helps...
As far as the ZX7, I enjoyed driving it...but the weight did bother me at times, but did make it feel more stable on windy highways at higher speeds. Maneuverability was not really compromised due to the weight, as far as I'm concerned.
I can't offer much personal experience on the Yamaha's or the TLR, as I've never ridden them.
The GSXR is a great bike and is a little harsher for daily driving, but not unbearable (I mean, hell, you're buying a sportbike, not a couch)
TIA

The largest difference that I've noticed between say a 6r and 7r are quick, side to side transitions. The 7r is very "planted" at speed and as such doesn't like to go from peg to peg as eagerly as say a lighter bike. Of course suspension setup also affects this to a large degree. The TL is going to have a powerband better suited for street riding/commuting.
Yeah, It would be awhile before I did a track day. And Im in the flat *** midwest so no canyon runs for me.
Yeah, Im aiming to get one of these bikes in the next two to three months. I know two guys at my gob that have 3 of these bikes. One guy has a R6, and another guy has a gixxer 750 and TLR. Both have offered to ride them, but Im always iffy about that.
And also I have rode my cousins 99 ZX9, I love the power. But dont really like the seating position. The weight is kinda so-so, but not much of a problem once your on a roll. How would the TLR and ZX7R compare to the ZX9 in weight and seating position? I know the ZX7 sits lower, and the TLR, from just sitting on it. I cant get a true feel for it.

In what kinda of scenerios would the weight of the ZX7 bother you? WHile riding? Sitting at stop lights(etc)? Slow moving traffic?
Also my uncle, an old school head. Always says the extra weight can help you out on the highway. But would about that extra weight when just shooting the **** thru town?

How would you compare the ZX7 seating position to the GSXR seating position. Extreme seating position is not much of an issue. But just want thoughts or complaints anyone might have.

Wouldnt say dialing in the suspension settings and maybe a set of rearsets maybe help with making the ZX7 more flickable??? And also once any of these bikes get the upgraded performance parts. How is this going to affect normal driving conditions??? Will low end mid range power(which I like about cars&bikes)be lost? Or will tuning the PC, jets, Etc. allow you to dial in the power where you need it or want it the most? Say like dyno tuning a car to have more low-mid or more top end power?
Just wanna say thanks for everyones comments
