Default Weird Knocking Noise from Pas. Front Wheel??????????

Not sure what it is, but its definitely coming from that area. I usually only hear it when i let off the gas when im shifting or slowing down. It almost sounds like something is coming out of place then returnin.

And now sometimes it does it when im just drivin straight??
anyone know what this is.....I dont think its the axle cause i just replaced both of them.

Might be a CV Joint. Check your CV boot on that side for a tear.

yeah i just had that happen to my teg. Check your cv boot and joint for bearing grease. Also there is a slight chance it could be a wheel bearing.

yeah, i just got back from lunch and it seems that its getting worse. i was just under my car like 2 days ago checkin everything out and cleanin it up a bit since i have an oil leak comin from the oil pan.
but ill chec again, i swear i didnt see any grease or torn boot.
could it maybe that the axle isnt sitting in the tranny all the way??
since i just swapped a tranny in?
i checked this too, but everything seems ok

well cna say its none of your already suggested but im willing to bet its your ball joint attached to you sway bar....it will rock back and forth and cause the knocking sound your describing....get ready to pay the 50 bucks for the ball joint...usually cv boots do a warping noise like a woomp woomp woomp and it gets louder around corners etc....just so you all know....but get a jack lift up you car and take a look at you lower sway bar, get a socket i believe its a 12mm and check the nut, it could just be loose but my guess is you brok eit hitting a pothole or rough area or it could just be blown out due to old age...neways hope this helps

I can tell u one thing, i do need motor mount inserts real bad since my stock ones are really old.
i am almost thinkin that would be the problem

but as far as the ball joint on the sway bar, someone else mentioned that too
so i guess i need to look at all these things tonight
cause it is gettin real annoying
and the kaaz clutch type lsd is helping with the noise this thing makes

well if its the ball joint, it wont get any worse...just make lots of noise and your ront end will feel real lose....it only helps you suspension so all i recomend is avoid tearing around those corners at 60+ till you get it fixed...and motor mounts usually dont make knocking noises, you usually feel jerkiness when you start off not sounds....hope you find you problem

ya could ber that also, but usually wheel bearings make a grinding noise vs the rather clanging noise im sure he is hearing....could be a possibility....but usuaully wheel bearings dont go that offen unless your hitting curbs or what not and bending you hubs

K, im gonna be a man and say that i am a we todd

I got off work lastnight at like 11pm and cleaned my garage out enough so i could bring my car in a little bit so i could check things out under it. I first put the car on jackstands and was about to go under my car when i just happen to notice im missing a lugnut
i automatically know now where the noise was coming from, the wheel was not seating properly and so it was creating a vibration between the wheel and the hub.
so after putting another lug on there and tighten everything else down i go for a spin to find out that was the prob

guess i should have done a visual inspection first, but i was in a hurry since i couldn't get my car totally in the garage there for i couldnt shut the door and i was paranoid about one of these guys wondering in on me
this was taken on monday right beside my house
kind of dark, but that is a bear
