Moonroff Water Leak
My 99 Accord was leaking water in the interior from the moonroof, soaking the roof post (inside) and my passenger seat. I noticed that there are 2 drainage ports. Where the water was leaking the one port was somewhat obstrucked by a small piece of a tree branch.
Are there anymore ports in the rear and how do I get to them? What is the best way to clean/flush the drain tubes (there is a lot of pollen present)? Where do the drain tubes stop?
Thanks and God Bless!

i dont know but your best bet is to change the rubber gasket all around the moonroof. use a hair blow dryer and somehow try and dry it up . Take a vacuum cleaner and get all the pollen out of there and make a reienforced barrier with some window silicon to give it some extra strength. Then when it dries por some water and see if it leaks hope this helps. Cause i used to have a 86 5.0 mustang with tee-tops bro not a pretty site when it rains comin into a mall with your girlfirend both lookin like you peed on yourselves.
my sun roof is always stuck, i know what you talking about, get a roll of wires(stronger one, not electrical wires) and poke it down the drain hole.
It doesnt rain much here but it still suck, i know.
Never never have one of thost moonroof wind defector, i took the shield out and the water problem is gone, prolly because the pos is keeping all the water inside.

You can clean out the rear drain tubes from inside the trunk. They are behind the side panels behind the wheel wells. Compressed air works well.

Sorry ... but this is NOT an option on a Honda. The seal around the sunroof can only be gotten by getting the entire glass.
Your problem is most likely clogged drains as posted in other answers. The post above mine is the way to the rear drains. And ... compressed air is indeed the best way to clear these drains out.

Thanks for all who helped me! I cleaned the water resevoir and had a shop use air to clean the tubes. We had a heavy rain here in Baltimore Md (again!) and I had no leakages. Now my car needs to dry out.
May the Lord keep you, may His face shine upon you and be gracious and give you (His) peace.
