let me know if you want my used hid kit for a fraction of the price

280$
4300k d2s philips bulbs / ballast
one of the ballast has been dented, the wire cloth was sliced, one of the bulb broken since it's been in an accident. I purchased a standard philips bulb on ebay and cut away part of the base so it'd fit into 9006 housing. It works great.

you'll get the following
2 ballast, one of them is slightly damaged on the outside but still work great
1 9006 bulb
1 stand bulb with the base cut

I have this setup for 3 months+ already and does not have any problem
I'll give you 1 month warranty

Dang, nobody talks about Trevor's kits anymore? http://www.visualdynamics.ca is where I got mine, good stuff, not nearly all the wires and separate pieces and stuff that the Catz kit has.

Stay with 4000 or 4500k. Anything over that is wasted light.

that's too bad, I sure do like the simplicity of my setup (Phillips LVQ-212 ballasts w/ integrated ignitor, etc.), but oh well.

Yeah, Trevor only sells Catz kits now. He says they are better quality than his previous kits, and are DOT approved. Here are 2 really good places to get a Catz kit:

Go to http://www.hidforum.com for all your HID concerns.

Good thing I got my kit from him when he was selling Phillips stuff. Now when I go to retrofit OEM HID projectors, all I need are the projectors and new D2S bulbs, and I'll already have the ballasts.

not yet. if i had a scanner that worked, it'd be posted by now. i'll make a thread once i have them on a disk, if anyone cares..

ps. me and about 4 other cars had this "HID Showoff". we all had them on and people judged which ones they liked best.

1. 93 Civic - Bright Blue - kit?
2. me - Bright whitish/blue - 6000k Philips
3. 95 Accord - bright white - 4100k Philips
4. 02 WRX - bright white - 4100k Philips

surpringly, most of the people liked mine the best. the civic's were just too blue and the 4100k kit was just plain i guess you could say. ask anybody with a 6000k kit, you may sacrifice some lumens but you'll love the color. so will people on the same road as you (no flashing from people!).

Yeah, I'm glad I got my Philips kit from him too. I think I may have gotten the last one. btw, what OEM projectors are you thinking about retrofitting?

I saw some BMW and Audi bi-xenon projectors on ebay for $150, and brand new D2S bulbs for like $70/pair! Both were buy it now auctions. They're not there anymore but hopefully when I get ready to do it there will be another deal up like that one.

As far as color temp, I have the standard Phillips 4100-4300K bulbs in my stock projectors right now. I saw one of my friends driving the other night, and when I called him later on he said he thought they were OEM HID coming toward him, until he saw it was me. Don't buy into the 5000K+ hype, and don't care what other people think of how they look. 4300K looks like all other factory HID out there, and you get the most light out of it.

I was thinking of goin 4300k but I hear some people say theirs still look yellowish and that is not what I want. I was thinking of going 5000\6000k to stay on the safe side.
