Will a manual ecu work better with an automatic????
I'm thinking of going obd1 with my 01 LS turbo integra. I wonder if i can just use an stick ecu instead of an automatic one. I know the d4 will blink but I dont really care too much about that at this pt. I would like to know if I would be able to redline it all the way in each gear or will I still shift early like all automatics. Let me know your inputs, thanks.
let me get this straight!
you have a 01 ls turbo
is it automatic or 5sp?
if your car is automatic and want to place a 5sp ecu
it will not work.
if your car is 5sp and you are using a automatic ecu
no difference there
no matter what ecu you use for a 5 sp it still the same performance..

its automatic, but i'm obd2 and I get check lite b/c of my turbo. I need to go obd1 to get rid of the lite but I was thinking of using an manual ecu to see if i can land on redline on each gear like a stick b/c automatics land short of the rev line as you reach 4th gear. I want to see if I can use a manual ecu to my advantage even if i'm automatic
