Default B Series Differential Question

Will an LS diff fit in a GSR tranny? And likewise? Some people say it will fit and some say it won't. Thanks.

why would you want to? there both open differentials. if your looking for a different fd gear just switch the gears.

Because my friends LS Diff broke and we were wondering if a GSR would fit it. We can't even figure out what tranny it is. Nobody knows. The code on it is y59. Gearing seems longer than a LS. Thanks.

it should fit fine. just save any shims there might be. also switch the fd gear from the ls to the gsr's diff.
