Default ITR shift **** replacements...... The options.........

I don't like my leather 98 ITR **** and have been thinking about it, and can't force myself to drop 2 bills on a JDM ITR shift ****. So I am left with few options. A fake 'replica' ITR **** or I ran across this skunk2 shift **** that looks very good, and weights in at 440 grams. Does anyone know how that compares to the stock 00-01 *****? Or does anyone have it?

Go with OEM... get a 92-93 Integra GS-R shift ****. They are very functional... but not that dazzling.

I had a Momo Cobra carbon/aluminum look model.

Worked okey, but the bolts slipped and stripped a lot, so I drilled new ones, and then it worked fine.

Looked good, but got hot with the short shifter .....

Go to the Dealer and take a look at the new RSX replacement ****, Looks like a ITR. You need to look at the base RSX because the Type-s = 6spd

miata or MX5, its almost the same design as JDM ITR titanium and almost same weight to help the shifts...also it screws in as any OEM would...perfect fit and less then $5 at the junkyard...

most mazda and probe ***** will bolt on as some nissans (such as nx2000, which are leather stiched )

I like the idea of the miata or mx5 ****, i'll have to find a picture of it. A threaded, screw on **** is a must, if you've ever owned the bolted in allen wrench ones, you'll know why.

Anyone have a pic offhand?

I would say the options are, Mugen, Spoon, or an ARC Titanium ****, if you want something that is similar to the JDM/USDM ITR **** then I have the S2000 ***** in stock only problem is that they have 6 gear slots on them but they are cheaper than the ITR's ****

I just put on one of the fake ITR ***** my buddy gave me for B-day. I don't like it as much as the leather one because it is smaller and it gets slippery when your hand sweat. I am pretty sure it will be very hot in the summer and very cold in the winter. I will test it for another week to see if I should go back.

How much are the S2K ****'s running? I love the feel of that style of ****.

I actually had the fake ITR **** on my old delsol Vtec. It was actually really nice for 30 bones! I just don't want to put anything 'fake' on my ITR. If you can get over the cold in winter/hot in summer thing, those style ****'s feel the best I think.

A low cost option is the optional aluminum shift **** from the RSX. It's OEM and I think that you can get it for around $40 - $45. It looks very similiar the to Type-R's shift **** and looks identical to the S2000, but with the 5-speed shift pattern instead of the 6-speed. Here is a picture of it.

That's similar to what I did. I put one from a '94 GS-R into my '01 ITR. Cost around thirty bills at the dealer.

I didn't like the metal ones - hot in the summer, cold in the winter.

I have an RSX type S shift **** if anyone wants it...it sits too high compared to my mugen I had, although it gets hot due to metal...

The optional RSX shift **** looks the way to go. It's really clean looking and OEM

I will go down to my dealer tomarrow and see if I can order it. Unless anyone on here can get one? Any takers?

I didn't like the leather one either...

I replaced it with the factory-optional "carbon fiber" one - it was $85 IIRC. You also need to replace the boot - but then you might as well get a JDM one with red stitching...

Just steal the OEM ITR shift **** from one of us! Everyone else feels like they can so why can't you? I think the shift boot is different than the 00-01's. Not sure though. If so, I would buy the JDM shift boot (from Typermsm) and the OEM shift ****. It looks really nice. I have seen the Skunk2 ITR shift knoband it looks nice, but it doesn't seem any heavier than the stock ITR ****. If it is, not by much. The guy that has it also has the Skunk2 short shifter. Looks to be a nice combo.
