Is this oil pan still available??
The Spoon aluminum oil pan is a lightweight unit designed to prevent oil starvation and loss of oil pressure in high G-force corners. Furthermore, it incorporates heat sinks to help lower oil temperature. The aluminum oil pan is highly recommended for race engines and enthusiasts who frequently track their car and care about engine longevity.

BPR are u looking for a buffle oil pan? I think their normal baffle oil pan will work well for u during lapping days?
My friend made his own baffle oil pan. I will try to find a pic. It's an ugly POS but hey it works for him.

Unfortunately not -- 260,000 yen according to Spoon's site. The "block brace" is an additional 240,000 yen.

i dunno how to explain this one! haha
we asked spoon about this on one of their visits here, and they said that the baffled aluminum oil pan actually sells pretty well in Japan... lots of super hardcore club racers use it
the block brace, same thing, but not as much.
definitely too rich for my wallet though!

$3K?!
For that much, couldn't you just get a fancy Mugen baffled oil pan, an air to air oil cooler and have money left over for a rebuild if something does wrong?

HAHA
most ppl on HT will probably think i'm a super JDM/Spoon *****, but i can be pretty ghetto too
haha
there is actually a shop in Japan that put together a heat sink kit for a stock oil pan... they pretty much just use heat sink fins and weld them onto the oil pan... but the heat sink fins seem to be bigger than those u'd find for computer components... probably meant for big network servers or telephone switches, something like that.

Check out the headsinks. Looks like a damn X-Box or some PC part. hahaha.
Any good alternatives to that?

From what I have seen you cannot use the oil pan without the brace as it is not desigbed to fit the block directly (sealing area anda large hole in the front left corner, filled in on the brace) . Looking at the brace and pan together you can see the problem, with the standard baffled sump to compare you can see the sealing issues.
