gsr motor into CRX
alright, my dad is putting a gsr motor into one of his crx's.
now i can wire vtec and i've done 6 swaps...
just wondering if we should go with all obd0 in the engine bay and get an obd0-obd1 conversion harness from kenji...
then use an obd1 gsr ecu...or should we stay obd0...and use a chipped pr3 (not something i'm crazy about)
thanks...all input is appreciated.

97 gsr motor, skunk2 intake manifold, obd0 distributor, b16a cable LSD transmission.
going into a 91 crx with 95k miles, totally MINT car.

There was a guy in this EF forum with a B18C5 in his EF with a re-chipped Pre-OBD ECU.
His dyno numbers exceeded mine, and we have similiar mods. I run a re-chipped P28 in my 1992 Civic.
Wish I could remember his SN damn it!

BTW:
No need for a P72 GS-R ECU if you have the skunk2 manifold. The VTEC point will be too low anyways.

Thats what I did with my GSR swap. It made it really easy.

what is your setup exactly?
obd0 distributor, EF Si wiring harness, 3 wires added for vtec including knock sensor, oil pressure and vtec solenoid...
and then using obd1 ECU with conversion harness...what else?

Thats basically my setup with the obd1 distributer, injectors, P72 ECU, IAB's hooked up, EVAP hooked up. Basically it's a OBD-1 car now, just using a obd-0 engine harness with added plugs from the donor obd1 GSR harness and added wires from the conversion harness which comes with great instructions which will tell you how to do everything - for adding wires that is. I'm going for my BAR sticker on Monday so hopefully I'll pass with flying colors
Let me know if you got any more ?'s.
