Default DC Sports header on LS... Worth the money or spend more for another?

I'm shopping for headers and found a deal for a ceramic 4-2-1 2 piece header by DC Sports.

Wondering if anyone can share their experience with this or suggest something better for the money.

Beyond the finish, are there performance advantages to getting stainless steel versus ceramic coating?

Your wisdom is appreciated

i have a dc 4-1 header on my ls and im happy with the gains...but the one peice hangs too low the two peice is a better deal i think...i want the comp tech stainless steel though...the dc ceramics look ugly after heat gets their way with them,,,the stainless looks way better

I had a DC 4-2-1 two piece on my car before I went turbo and I was pleased... It didn't make anything like 20+ hp, but top end gained a little... I never had any problems with my DC, and I bought it used...

that aint cool...funny how no ls owners have said anything to back this up...tru bout just na headers but turbo is another story...ive seen many ppl in this board saving mad cash and just getting a b18a/b instead of going all out and getting a b18c1/5 for twice the cash almost...if ur going turbo id say go ls...dont come in here saying ppl "r made haterz" just cuz they give the dude there own opinions and ****...yall swear ppl on here r haterz and all that bs...dont think at least 50% of ppl in here are as much of "haterz" than what yall think, just the way some peepz interpret things on here they assume "everyone is hating on them and ****"

non vtec turbo vs. vtec turbo=ls turbo for sho(incase of major hp)...save lotz of $$$

Again just my opinion, not "HATING" on anyone...
dont hate on LS's!

I've had 2 sets of the 4-2-1 2 piece crack. The weld with the #4 and #2 join together cracked along the seam. I had the 1st set rewelded and JetHot coated before I install them this weekend. I seriously considered buying a 3rd header(from a different manufacturer) but the cost to reweld and JetHot was too good not to try. It cost me $20 for the repair and $100 for the JetHot coating.

The ceramic coating doesn't turn purple like stainless but it does go to a dull grey color.

Yep, i just noticed this posting there http://www.groupbuycenter.com/buy.aspx?id=10754

Question: Is it safe to assume a one piece 4-2-1 is preferred over a two piece?

Sorry for the million and one questions... a bit new to this. btw, thanks for everyone's comments and input.

yo! u and tribe need to chill bro..im not haten on the ls!! i ******* own one as you can see!!!!!!!!!!!!! to me its just not worth droppin mad cash into it. ive owned my ls for years and love it...ive hooked it up with **** and it just kept getting jacked...thats all i was sayin fellas... the car is great... it just doesnt hang with the gsr or R as u know thats all... no matter what u do to it...turbo thats the only way to make an ls fast as ****. if thats the story, than any ls rocks! but then again, you can just as easily make any gsr turbo too. lower comression pistons, drop an ls tranny in it = same ******* thing!!!!!

bottom line, im not haten on the ls guys, it just isnt worth it to me to go all out on exp. boltons when they all do the same ****... and i know this. put ur ls on the track...my truck will blow that **** up all day!!!!!!

I heard DC headers are restrictive and don't give much improvement from stock headers. Ceramic is preferable because it keeps the hot exhaust/air inside the header (exiting from the exhaust manifold). Its ideal to have hot air/exhaust exiting after combustion (not coming into the intake manifold!! don't be confused) something about how hot air molecules have more kinetic energy so exhaust will exit the muffler quickly allowing less restriction? Kamikaze I heard was the best. Whatever the brand, 4-1 headers work the best not 4-2-1.

I have the dc 4-2-1..much better than the 4-1
but still... I would pass on it if I had it to do again...The SS is a joke..it tarnished 5 minutes after I installed it. Go for Jun or a Comptech...I have heard they ar much better.
