calm down sam, i was joking about the JDM fad. (please reread for blatant sarcasm) i think the whole jdm thing is just as "ricey" as big bodykits and bling bling rims. I think if it doesn't improve performance then its "rice", but that isn't always neccesarily a bad thing.

My car has alot of stuff that doesn't improve performance, is that rice? But i also got a built h22 turbo accord so it's go some go In Japan most of them like to do it USDM style, lol. They want everything that comes stock on our cars, go figure. They are definitely into the body kits and big rims.

IMO no that doesn't make your car rice, as a matter of fact i wouldn't a call a car rice even if if had the "super street fighter combat bomb cali aggresor" kit with 20" chrome rims. i would call it ugly, but if the owner of the car is pleased then thats cool with me.

i think rice is more of an attitude then the look of the car. if the driver is an assclown then i would say he and his car were rice. but if the car is built for a show then that is cool, it just has to be done right. rice is unpainted bodykits, 20's on a hatchback, you get the idea.

i have several things that i bought for my car that don't improve performance but i like them so thats all that matters. i'm just tired of the h-t anti rice police, it is really childish in my book. if someone is pleased with they're car don't rain on they're parade, but asking bodykit questions in a tech forum thats a different story.
