Default My Ls/vtec vs. CL Type S

Yesterday i had just gotten off work and i picked up a buddy to get out and chill when i was driving down the street some arabian looking dude was driving crazy trying to catch up with me in his '02 two door CL type S, so we get stoped at a light and i know he wanted to race but i wasnt gonna let him know i wanted to until right when it turned green, i caught a lil chirp in first trying to minamize wheel spin then rode out in 1st,2nd,and 3rd pulling a 1/4 car lenght every gear i hit, so i got to about 80 smokin him all the way I was very impressed with my lil teg, that was the first race ive had since it just got out the body shop last week because of a wreck i was in. i could tell it was a automatic CL also. anyone else ever raced CL's or TL's?

I am a careful driver, the wreck was because some dumb lady in a jeep pulled out in front of me at an intersection.

I dont consider streetracing careful driving. But I dont wanna start that thread again. So just keep your stories in the Kill forum, and drive safe.

I hate it when people do this. Did you do that so you could get the jump on him? Think of all of the cars you can beat now-- a Viper, Supra TT, an Enzo, etc, etc. Just make sure you hit the flashers after the 1st gear.

In a way I see this as ricer move, but green means go... But, on the other hand, if you hadn't mutually agreed before that to race, and you just punched it when it went green, that's a rice move...

power to weight ratio my friend...i would hope with an ls/vtec setup youd smoke the **** out of a cl or tl type s...no prob..the weight on those things is up there..so of course you'd pull on them.

Okay, this is to all of ya'll trying to flame me for this post. First of all, how is sitting quietly at a stop light a "ricer" move. from my understanding, a "ricer" move would be to turn on some neon lights or REV the hell out of the motor and make a fool out of your self. When i said i wasnt gonna let him know i was gonna race was because HE was gonna jump the gun and try to race me when i wasnt ready. Second, I posted this just for informational purposes to see if the results of the RACE were impressive, not to judge wether street racing is safe, or cool and anything else, dont go and be a dick on these fourms and talk ****, so im happy my 160hp car beat a 240hp car, let me have my moment of joy without "some" of ya'll trying to break my pride, if you dont have something nice to say, dont say it at all, i think we should have a flammer's fourm for those who are to bored online to get their stress out. Dont be so judgemental, if you wanna judge someone go to http://www.hotornot.com if your mature enough to talk about cars, continue browsing....

sorry to flame you dude!!

but not the right forum for this kind of so called victory...

the best one would have been how you did at the track or video of it..

but as far as im concerned we are all safety concious and
against street racing no matter how tempted you are to do it..

its not worth it...

stunna!!!!!

Why would I want to go to another site, when this site is sooo much more fun :D Ha Ha Ha!!!

I wasn't really flaming you that bad. But I still stand by my statement. If you knew he was going to go, why didn't you just give him the nod and have a fair race? I just don't understand that. Anyway, on the side note, how come you're only netting 160 hp with your LS/Vtec? Not tuned? Also the CLS is 260hp(at the crank).

At any rate, you should know what to expect when you post a gay move like that. Don't get your panties in a twist, b/c it's all in good spirit.... Now, hike up your skirt, show some sack, and roll on!!!

Don't hate bro! Do you know how many races I won using this method? I usually tell the guy he has a flat tire and just as he starts to look down - I'M OUT!!! Next think you know that person is just trying to figure out what just happened.

In the meantime, that's just another fool that I added to my owned list!

2001 - 2002 were all 5 speed autos.
2003 can be had in auto or 6 speed.
