What do you think about these ITBs??
I was Thinking of getting these ITBS..They are made by Jenvey...
I have more info on the Jenvey ITBs but i wanted to see if anyone likes them..
The ITBs are on a GSR head..They have manifolds for B16a/ITR heads too
And Those headers are made by SMS..
Thanks
Ross

I always wanted to know more about ITB's, does anyone know how reliable that is for a daily driver? Is it basic bolt on? Does anyone have any dyno plots? Do I have to tune the air/fuel ratio (I'm pretty sure you do)?

if i could i would get ITB's
but there to much $$$ just to have them for daily driven , i would have to get more in to auto cross to get the best out of them

The horns look a little short compared to others I've seen.

Actually, the horns are longer and the bodies are shorter.
This gives you greater adjustability.

someone mentioned in the other thread about a vacuum box.
there's quite a few vacuum lines to reroute with one of these...although doing away with the stock TB/IM will certainly decrease coolant lines, etc.

The TWM setup new from the factory costs around $2200..
the Toda setup is $2400..
As far as vacuum goes, there are only 6 lines... the 4 ports from the runners need to be joined in a manifold to created vacuum for your brake booster and then tap into the map sensor if you plan on reading your map... other than that, nothing else changes with coolant lines...

I have been searching and searching on all the info on itb's i 'think' i have enough to at least complete the build of the manifold and the adapter plate for the itb's.
Needless to say that this will be all trial and error, and all custom. I just orderd the itb's. there nothing real special just 48mm with fuel rail, no manifold - good thing i am a machinist - so i am gona try to make my own out of aluminum.
blah blah .....i know
anyway those look good.

Yes, I have Jenvey's and I love them. This is very similar to my setup.

the filter box covers up most of the 'horn' from view.
at least the injectors are on the right location (top).
</TD></TR></TABLE> That's not a filter box it is just an air box. Not sure who makes that one though. You would then run a large diameter hose to either on of the head lights to get ram air into the ITB's.
I personally plan to design some kind device that will draw air from the base of the windshield.
