Default Buying Dilemma... please help

I have a '94 GSR, and recently graduated/turned 18. Parents are gonna get me something for my car. My hood is dented, and has been since I bought the car a year and a half ago, and I've been planning to get a CF hood since it's now rusting and getting worse. However, I also want a CAI, and could get it and maybe some new speakers for the price of the hood. What should I do?

The hood, I have no problem with the way my stock airbox operates, only thing I did was remove all the extras routed through the fenders and droped in a new filter in the box, works great.

it's a gift... parents offered to get the hood, and I'm thinking I'll do that, and just get the intake later... but I DO need a new air filter, so I'm thinking the CAI for that, since it comes with one... I dunno

if CAI is too pricey for you, maybe you wanna settle for a short ram intake?

I've been told it's beyond fixing... wouldn't be worth it to have the whole thing reskinned and repainted is what I've been told... cuz it STILL doesn't match the rest of the car for some reason. It's the stock hood, but it's a little on the pink side compared to the rest of the car. And it's starting to rust anyways

Get one from a junkyard. Save $$. Then get your speakers and CAI.

A cf hood might look weird on a basically stock car...your ride is basically stock, correct? There are probably people on here that don't want their stock hoods for one reason or another, you could always check the classifieds...

I'd hate to own a stock car with a cf hood. Get a new stock hood...for cheap, of course...and then get some other ****.

Yup, pick up a cheap used hood (with no dents), get it painted. The cf isn't really doing anything for you except to say you have a CF hood on an otherwise stock car. Maybe with some $$ left over you can get speakers or your filter.

Congrat's BTW, good to see some parents don't spoil their kids with buying brand new car for graduating high school. Seems like you parents have perspective.
