Default Civic wiring question

On a 5spd 99 Civic. Is there a cable, sensor or anything that will tell the car that it is in gear. Obviously there is soemthing for reverse. What about any of the other gears?

Thank you

I believe all Honda manual transmissions have harness that clips into the tranny that is the reverse indicator. I don't believe there to be one for other gears, just reverse. Ever wonder what makes the reverse lights come on?
This thing that plugs into the tranny helps in this. Come on, where is AJ with his
Helms?
