Default does this amp (sony) have an ss filter?

i got this amp for free ...... http://www.sounddomain.com/sku/SONXM2165GTX there it is...
it says 1000w but i really dont think its even near that. but theres some show on sat. im gonna have this amp powering a 12 L7 in a bigass vented enclosure build to kicker specs....i was just wondering if i can run it and not risk over excursion...cuz i dunno if the amps for a ss filter.

acually yeh i did.... its a 1.75 cu ft enclosure tuned to 40hz w/ .43cu ft port vol.

I am surprised you did not go for the gold. 3 cubes I hear that box is loud. Anyway tuned to 40 your minimum ss should be set to 30. You can get away without an SS if you tune it very low, like mid 20's.

what if an amp dont have a ss filter? what are the pros and cons of an ss?

Pro - sub will not over excurt and kill itself
Con - loss of bass if it is not set up to the appropiate freq.
