Default stupid plastic cover ARGGH!

Does anyone know how to get the stupid plastic cover (Helms calls it "the leak cover") that fits inside the dist. cap but under the coil and rotor to stay on straight?
Mine keeps falling down and resting against the back of the rotor.
There's got to be some little catch or something I'm missing

it has tabs that go under something. it doesnt really screw into anything. i assume your talking about the thing under the dist cap that covers the rotor.

Yeah the thing that covers the rotor.
I stick the tabs in and it keeps falling out.

I'm sure it would be better to take it out then to have it flopping around.

Yeah, I took it out.
I don't want it rubbing up against the rotor, while it's running
But when I have more time and daylight how do I get it to stay put.
That's the Q.

Well if your putting the clips back in and it keeps popping out then grab another one.

Wait, the point of that thing is to protect it from rain? Why would that be a problem if the cap is on? I'm about to rip mine out.

I don't know what the point of it is.
A friend of mine who works at an acura dealer say most mechanics
there throw them away.
In the helm service manual, they call it a "leak cover"
I have no idea why.
It seems useless to me but, why would honda put it there if they
didn't think it served a purpose.

That cover is held on by two tabs that fit into the bottom of the coil. I always thought that the cover prevented the rotor from arcing some other point in the distributor other than the ones in the distributor cap. IDK, I left mine out after I installed an external coil.
