Yeah, I launch at three too. I dont burn out at all on my launches, I just feel for the "edge", cause if I lay on it with my JR blower Im on rev-limiter before I can shift. Thats what I reccomend, I dont drop the clutch either, I feather it.

The way i do it is i bog it up and down between 3-3.7rpm, and feather the clutch. Work good for me, i know my car.

does feathering the clutch mean letting the clutch out slowly???

In my GSR I have been launching between 3-3.5. I have Falkens (just like everyone ) I don't seem to get too much wheelspin.

Learn to feather and tires make a difference, some require heating up others do not. 3 - 3.5

also lower your tire press for a better for print on the track....getting the right tire press wil help you get better traction and be able to launch higher therefore youll be in the upper powerband faster in essence making better times.

3500 on the track? yeah try like 5000

My first time at the track I revved to 3500 because thats the launch on the street. But you'll bog it off the line because the track is super sticky, keep that in mind.

so the key to launching is dont ask....
get ur *** on the track and do it!!

j/p

our cars are all different... different mods, different tires, different climates/tracks...

but we may be able to give you an estimate if you tell us your mods and what tires you are running!!

peace

Wow, just what I needed!

I'm going to the track tomorrow, and instead of using my stock Michelins, I've opted to borrow my friend's front rims with Falken Azenis tires. Should I even lower the tire pressure on those, considering they're extra grippy? Should I still launch at 3-3.5k?
