KYB AGX / Comptech Springs (pics/review)
Hey guys...I've been running this setup for about a month now and I thought some of you might be interested in my $.02 in case you were considering the same setup.
The KYB AGX adjustable shocks are awesome. For $340, they are totally worth the money. With all shocks set at 1, it rides slightly stiffer than stock. On the other side...at 4 you feel every little bump and groove in the road, but the car is very responsive and the steering has a nice "tight" feel to it. I love being able to switch back and forth. I always have them on 1 when I drive on the highway to work on the weekdays for a comfortable ride. On the weekends, in the city, I adjust them to 3/4. Overall, I rate the shocks at 9/10.
The Comptech Sport springs work great with the AGX shocks. They are noticeably stiffer than the stock springs. My only complaint is that the front end could be a little lower. After settling it looks to be about a 1.3" drop in the front and a 1.5" drop in the rear. I have 50 series tires so I think there is slightly more gap than with the stock tires. Overall, I rate the springs at 7/10.
If I had to do it over again, I would definatly stick with the AGX's, but I think I would have gone with the H&R Sport springs because I think 1.5" all around is the PERFECT drop. I went with the Comptech's mainly because I trusted their parts because of their relation with Honda/Acura. Overall I am still happy!
The S100 wax I use gets a 10/10! I love that stuff! Here are some pics for you all...

I believe the comptech springs have the same springrates as the eibach pro-kits. They both suffer the same rear end saggy look. Some people say that the car is actually level and the front fender just makes the front look higher. Designed for function over looks? possibly

I actually am looking to raise the car up to your height.
My car is perfect when stationary. However when you have myself and another person sit inside, the car drops about .5 inches and you get the problem with scraping up the front OEM lip and other things.
It does corner like its on rails
I'm weary of the drop these days but not of the ride.

Nice ride, love the drop and thanks for the review on the shocks. I plan on picking them up sometime soon.
Very glossy car and nice depth to the paint! I also just used s100 and love the results.
How many coats did you put on? What polish did you use?

Looks good, I had the same set up. Now I have KYB's with Ground Controls. My only complaint with the comptechs was the height of the front. Car rode like it wasn't lowered. I loved that. Looks good though!!
S100 rules! did you get it online or did you buy it at a Harley dealer?
Your drop looks awesome but do you think you'll need to get a camber kit?

You sure as hell won't get a 1.5" drop with H&R Sports. I just measured the overall height of my car yesterday, and it was about 49.5". My helms manual says stock overall height is 52.6"! Disregarding maybe 1/10" due to 205/50-15 tires vs. 195/55-15, that's still a 3" drop! With H&R Sport springs!

Hey guys...to answer your questions:
S100 aka P21S is a carnuba based wax that is very highly recommended by professional detailers. I used to use Zaino, but I switched to this because I think it gives a little more depth. The only con is that it does not last long like Zaino...I usually apply a coat every 2-3 weeks to keep it looking like it does. I purchased it online.
I guess I am thankful I didn't go with H&R's. I thought you had Neuspeed Sports Patrick? Are Neuspeed/H&R one and the same?

No, I went w/ H&R's cuz I heard/read that Neuspeed sports were less stiff in back than H&R's, while being about the same in front. I heard the H&R's are more balanced. But they're still too soft for that much drop.
