Default Strange hesitation on the way home from work today...

Hey guys,

My car started acting funny about a block or two from my house today. It's a hot day, and I had my air conditioner on, and all the sudden for a breif second it felt like the car was hesitating similar to if you downshift without rev-matching, but nowhere near as severe. I was just driving along, with constant throttle and my car felt like it was slowing itself down. So I checked the oil as soon as I got home, having read about low oil causing you to drop in and out of VTEC, this was happening at about 3k RPM in 5th gear, but never the less I checked it.

Anyway, I'm due for an oil change, and actually planned on going tomorrow before all this, and I'm a quart low on Castrol GTX 10w30, could this have anything to do with it? As I said, the only thing out of the ordinary was the air coniditoner was on, but the A/C shouldn't cause anything like this I would think. Is there something wrong with my car, or do you guys think it is oil related? My full warranty is up in 6k miles or so, so if it's anything serious I'd rather take it to the dealer ASAP to get it fixed.

Anyway, any help/thoughts would be appreciated.

Oil is g00t, but having A/C on will draw power away from the motor, if you hold the acclerator and turn the A/C on and off you'll notice the hesitation to keep occuring

The A/C had been on the whole trip home from work, does the compressor turn itself on and off, or just run constantly?

It was on the whole time and then all of a sudden hesitated? I haven't noticed that before....but like I said if I'm driving and turn the A/C on (which happens almost never), I'll immedietly feel a change in the engine response. Change j00 stinkin oil and hope that helps. Holla

Also, your car will do that if it is trying to find a code for your O2 sensor....
