What's that noise?
I get a "click" at low speeds. It happens when I engage/disengage the clutch, but not exclusively. It also happens when I go off throttle at higher (5500) rpms.
I don't suspect release bearing (12000 miles old) since it is not exclusively related to the clutch. Also, I only hear it in N->1 and 1->2 shifts. Even at elevated rpms, I don't hear it on the 2->3 shift.
I checked CVJs on that side, and there's no apparent signs of boot damage. It has that kind of click to it, but it only makes the noise at higher torque situations (on or off).
Any thoughts? ((please please please don't be a tranny problem with the shift fork or somesuch)).
Thanks in advance.
