im lookin to do a transmission swap from auto to manual, from what i've learned any H or F series transmissions should fit into my 5th gen '00 lude. so i was wonderin if an s2000 tranny would go well with my car. does anyoen have any information on this? wrather is a good idea or not. etc. thanks a ton

 

sure, it prolly would, but an S2K is rear wheel drive, so if you wanted to completely change the chasis of you car, then sure, go for it

 

maybe you could keep it front wheel drive and just have the passenger wheel stick waaaay waaaay out.

i mean, peeps want RB26 motors, they want S2000 trannies, 4WD, etc etc.

The only way I'd do these kind of things is if I won the lotto. Even then, I'd go in knowing it was a waste of time and money. hahahah

 

also the s2k motor spins the other way (I think) You might end up with 5 different reverses and 1 drive gear

 

I think the f20b (pretty sure that is the right code) is a regular VTEC not an iVTEC

psst.... S2K is basically a Prelude motor , oh, it it's a 6 speed

 

Ok, I guess I was wrong. but it's only a 2.0 not a 2.2 thought right? did they just make the pistons taller or something? it's the same block and stuff? That could be useful info when looking for used parts.

They do NOT share the same block....and stuff.

Actually, awd would be pretty straight forward. Just not worth it for a 4 or 5g.
