heres the deal i know the truth that longer gears suck, it's obvious, but one of my friends came over last night and his jack *** cousin, his cousin says to me, that he has a friend with a 12 sec dx, i didn't ask what kind of motor( cuz he told me he had an auto gsr in his own hatch, then it turned into a b18b1, then it was an hf, he dosn't know ****) sooo..........then he goes on to tell me the dx hatch had a stock dx tranny, and that it's the best tranny available, i said no it's close in gear ratio just above the cx, he says it's awesome for staying in turbo/nitrous longer, cuz this is what the kids dx hatch has, and i was like well i will gaurantee that if you run a si/ex tranny, you will drop time on the e.t., he's like well i don't know bout that. that's his awnser for everything, what im wondering is can someone send me the thread on staying in turbo longer? i want to send this thread to my friend, cuz he says hes not gonna argue with a 12 sec car, well i believe in that thread there was a kid with a 8 sec car, i want to put this to rest and im so sorry this is such a long bable thread i just want to show this kid up, and have it done with and have people with knowledge of different trannys to back this thread up

The only thing longer geared trannies are good for is gas mileage. If the kid doesn't know what he's talking about like you say, i'm sure he knows he's wrong on the inside. AND that's what counts, right?
