everyone with TODA B's, life expectacy of timing belt?
got:
Ferrea Stainless Valves
Portflow Retainers
Power Enterprise Belt
TODA Valve spings
TODA Spec B cams
I've been running this setup for 7000miles. people with similar setups, when do you usually change your timing belt? I know the power enterprise is suppose to be more durable and beefier. but I want to be as reliable as possible, when would be a good time to switch out my belt?
on a side note, how about the retainers? do they need changing at some point?
trying to make myself a maintenance grid that I could follow to have peace of mind. thanks

Life expectancy depends on a lot of variables, but better safe than sorry. I'm running the PE belt.
I am going to change my PE belt out at 60,000 miles, just to be safe. Inspect your titanium retainers every 15,000 miles, when you adjust your valves.

I ran a stock belt for 20k with my B’s and it looked like to could have went any time when I swapped it out. I’m running a PE belt now.
BTW, how do you guys recommend inspecting your Ti retainers?? I understand you could do a simple visual check but to actually get any type of measurement I think would be difficult.

ok thanks guys. I already have a PE timing belt. so the verdict is:
PE belt, every 60K or less
valve retainer check, every 15K
like he said, how is this visual check done appart from the obvious, like if it's cracked. is there a mesurement that can be done?
would it be safe to change the valve retainters every 30k miles or is that a little excessive?

If you are inspecting the retainers regularly, you should be able to tell if they are getting thin.

hell, check them every 7k miles. my retainer with less than 12k on it busted. and portlfow installed the valve train parts...
just inspect the belt as often as you can, look for wear on the teeth. oem timing belts are 50 a piece. relative to what you just spent, its not that costly for replacing a new timing belt every 15-30k depending upon how hard you are on your car.
