Default 5lug swap with camber problem!

i recently, did the 5lug swap onto my 5th gen accord! and the best way to describe it is, if u look at my car from the front, u will see both wheels curved inwards, in other words, the camber would be on the outer side of the tires!

the camber now is positive, i was told by someone that camber kits only adjust negative camber? in any case, the same guy told me the only option is to bend some pieces!

so now im here, i thought id ask u brainiacs about this before i start bending things!

any helps much appreciated!

thanx guys! :>

didnt you just bolt off your knuckles and bolt in the prelude ones?

try buying the Prelude radius rods and lower control arms along with the tire rods

we looked at it pretty hard once and you would basically have to swap the whole Prelude front suspension to have it work correctly

martiange did the swap and it works just fine i believe. you should compare what you did with what he did and see what is causing your problem.

Yeah, but I used 95-97 Accord V6/Odyssey knuckles because I knew they would fit.

I said in my first post on this matter that Prelude parts could be used, but you need ALL the Prelude parts.

Compare:

95-97 Accord V6/Odyssey:

97+ Prelude:

The differences are subtle, but they are there.

You need to learn how to do your own mechanical work, friend. Then you can't get screwed by any meathead jabroni's.

Upper control arms, lower control arms, radius rods, and maybe tie rod ends.

but aren't the v6 ones designed to be at a different angle because of the heavier load exerted on the suspension from the v6. the f22 motor is lighter so there is less load on the shocks. thats just what i think, i may be wrong. it was just a quick common sense response.

Nah, the V6 knuckles were IDENTICAL to the I4 knuckles, except having a slightly wider hub/bearing mounting point. Bolted right up, no camber, caster, toe or fitment problems, period.
