I bought a short shifter and it hit my exhaust. The reason is the shortshifter is longer underneath the car than the stock one and if you have a coustom exhaust it will most likely rub. I ended up putting the stock one back in. There are a couple tricks to make it work but they didnt work for me. You can try to bend the hangers down around the shifter to make the exhaust hang a little lower or you could go to the muffler shop and have them fix it. My advice would be to put the short shifter in before you get a coustom exhaust.
