Default Was Followed (in Toronto) -- What would you do?

On my way home today, i noticed that i was being followed so of course i made the obvious move of making a huge detour to check if i was just paranoid. Nope, the damn guy just kept making the same obsure turns that I was making in the residential streets. So i decided to just make a few more and got rid of him.

Just wondering if anyone else has had any stories about being followed and what they've done and could do about these theiving bastards?

yeah when I accidently cut someone off along time ago. I was by myself (and 16) It was a dark tinted car so I didnt know who or what was in there. He kept following me so I turned around next to a police station. They drove by but tried to be slick and double back. I just pulled into the police station and started to get out.

They left rather quickly then.

i've been followed before as well. just take a detour going no where near your house until you know they know you know they're following you and they stop.

or if you know it's not the police following you, just call the police while you drive and act like you're going home. tell them there's a car folowing you and see what happens next.

iv had about 4 guys in their loud ***, lowered civics follow me home before. i get out of my car and stare at them, they just kinda go like "oh **** she saw me" then drive away. iv also had many pull up to my house for a couple minutes, i guess just to look at my R in the drive way lol. I think its just because there are no other type Rs where i live...especially not driven by a girl.

No offense meant, but that's not very smart. The last place you should go, especially given the fact that you're female, is your home. Go to a well-lighted, public place. Or better yet a police station. If you do choose the public place, call the police and inform them of the situation.

Better safe than dead. Or worse.

yeah I've had people follow me home back when i had a tricked out Vento VR6(Jetta),I usually take them on some windy twisty roads where they cant keep control of their vehicle and lose them there .Or I would call a bunch of friends and lead the people following me to a huge crowd of people

followed.
that's nothing. i've had some guy who actaully tried to open my driver side door.
i parked in front of the TD bank on wardan and steels, around 11pm (dont remember the time but was late late) and my friend was inside my car so i didnt bother to turbo off the car walk inside, came back out saw a gu who walked away from my car, so think nothing else, but after i took off my friend was telling me while i was in the bank that guy walked to my car and tried to open my door, luckily my friend was fast enough to hit the power lock to lock the door, and the guy realize the door wasnt openning so he pretend nothing happen and ask my friend if it's a real type-R, so my friend roll down the window just a little and told him it's not while saying that my friend also has his cellphone ready to call the cops.
so people remember always lock ur door while you driving or whatever.
ever since that i set my alarm auto lock as soon as i start the car.

if someone was following me. i'd call up some friends and have them follow the guy, atleast then i won't be alone.

but if it's really late, i'd get on a fwy, and vtak out of there . i'm guessing if they're following me, they want the motor, meaning they're slow right now. haha

I had some guy follow me. It was an older guy, like early 40's. I was just leaving my flight lessons and drove about half a mile to a freeway overpass to get to an Acura dealership. This guy makes an illegal left turn right infront of me, from a lane that is suposed to go strait. I honk at him and issue my single finger salute and drive by. I opted not to stop at the dealership because he looks pissed now and rides my bumper. I endup making a series of turns that just go in circles, and he makes all the same turns behind me. I then deside to jump on a road that is not busy and very strait thinking I'll just outrun him since I was in my parents 300zxTT and he was in an old trooper. Before I am about to make my final turn onto this road a cop shows up and pulls me over. Turns out this guy following me is an off duty cop and calls the on duty cops on me. After these two cops conference the uniformed cop tells me that this guy saw me speed, make illegal U turns, and drive wreckless. I then tell this cop how I've been in the car for 2 mins and have a time stamped receit from my flight lesson to prove it and this clown cut me off for no reason and began following me. The off duty cop named all these streets I had been on and what I had done, but after I showed them proof that I'd been in the car for 2 mins, the uniformed cop just got pissed at the off duty cop and told him to leave and don't waste police time on his day off. Then he let me go.

If someone follows you, find the nearest police station and park in one of the parking spots in front of it.

Hell, even act like you are getting out of your car to go to work

This Works every time!

Back to the topic...I would take everyone elses advice and have them follow you to the closest police station.
