Ok... I think it's funny, the guys in different parts of the continent think of "rice" differently... so is rice relative or what?

I'm from OH, and here's my little "rice-list":

1) CLEAR signals.
2) Anything from Autozone?
3) A '91 'Teg with Wal-Mart foggies, a busted rear 1/4 panel, 2 shade red paint, and green underbody lights (Trust me, I've seen it.)

So what's ricey to you? (Just so I make a point of never bringing it up here... EVER. me... hahaha.. )

Too many parts that serve no purpose (giant touring wings on FWD cars), or parts that look like they are functional but are not (ie the APC fake roll bar).

 

Ricey=*adjective*, A: Items partaining to any automobile that is strictly for aesthetic purposes and does NOT increase performance in any aspect.
B: A modification to a car that RESEMBLES a performance modification but does not actually increase performance, I.E.: Wings, body kits (90%), cut springs, exhaust tips, etc. etc. etc.
C: A direct representation of Low Self-Esteem issues and a deep desire to "fit-in". Also may be a personal issue of phallic representation.


P.S. sad thing is, most ricers are too stupid to understand any of the BIG words illustrated in A, B, and C.

 

Oh yeah!! One more important thing....

Ahem....
When fixing up a car, do not do the following....
Have more that 4 lights on your front at any time, cover rust holes with an "SiR" emblem, don't add graphics that you shouldn't put on your car (i.e. I saw an STi sticker on an EG hatch...). If you don't know what "TireFlys" are, then thank the lord above. One more thing... if a little kid comes up and asks if you're Vin Diesel, then I think it's time to get rid of the instant rice.

The bigs and ugly bodykits.
The stickers like Fast and furious.
The wings (except OEM)
The exhaust stock with big tip.
All the neon lights.
The things like type r, siR (when you're not)
The windows tint when the choosen color is yellow, green, red, etc...
And somethind else, but you have a good idea with that...

 

Oh yeah, I forgot the altezza's cause I hate theese lights...

 

my front bumper cover. (excessive body kits)
yellow decals (or any decal for that matter but yellow is the worst)
ANYTHING APC they should rename themselves ARC american rice company
universal aluminum spoilers
any spoiler over 3" tall unless it serves a functional purpose
chrome rims or hubcaps (*** n e thing chrome, god I hate chrome)
window banner to the local may-pop tire dealer (or any banner for that manner)
neon lights
altezzas (although this would come under the heading of APC)
fake *** muffler tips (when I worked at best buy some dude came in with a cavalier he wanted dual exhaust so he hung a muffler tip using a coat hanger from the other side of his rear)

 

i saw a new eclipse with a VTEC tuning badge on the back

ricers~ ppl who do it cuz its the thing to do. ppl who go the street races every week but never come up off that stock motor and intake. ppl who run there b16's like ******** on the street just to hear vtec. ppl who primer there **** and think its tight. ppl who paint there interior colors other than black.' i could go on all day but i wont cuz the ricers will flame.

I saw that crx with the painted red interior on ebay... ::shakes head:: I dont mind when people use subtle accents of color but that looks awful.

 

anything made by APC !!! and to those who are sport'n those alunimun wings, PLEASE....... i have respect for those who actually autocross and need the down force but the stock rides with just an aluminum wing and those L.E.D. windshield squirtter things... HELLLLLLOOOO!!! plus, don't even bother to REV on me.

Alot of ricers dont even know that they are ricers.. (Ricer denial)

Usually what happens is, they find out how to properly tune thier cars..buy proper wheels, accessories and mod the engine appropriatley.

Then they look back and are embarrassed when they think of the stuff they did to thier rides before they knew about what was nice and what was rice... 2c

 

I think a ricer is a person who drive around in a non-vtec and they floor it at 5k to make it sound like they do have vtec. I just sit back and laugh

come on, squash air freshners is only rice if you buy it to be in style... what it i have had it for ages, am i considered a ricer???
